Job Details
- Up to 25 hours per week, Monday-Friday. This position may require evening/weekend responsibilities related to programming of the CCWB.
- Conduct triage assessments with students who walk in or are scheduled with the Center for Counseling and Well-BeingFacilitates client access to community resources, including locating recreational activities, housing, food, clothing, school programs, vocational opportunities or services, providers to teach life skills, and relevant mental health services; assists client to develop natural resources and make contact with social support networksIn collaboration with clinical team, develop, monitor, and evaluate treatment/care plans and progressLink students to campus and community resourcesEngage in follow-up and connection to referrals and resourcesConduct skills coaching Conduct educational workshops on a variety of wellness topicsConduct programming which provides access to health care marketplace enrollmentDocument all client encounters and complete records/reports related to student services providedAttend staff meetings and trainings hosted by the Center for Counseling and Well-Being
- Graduate student status in a behavioral health program.Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.Ability to collaborate well with internal and external partners.Ability to provide care that is effective, equitable, and student-centered.Ability to meet deadlines and manage daily documentation.Skills for addressing complex challenges.Ability to apply crisis management strategies.Commitment to high standards of confidentiality as indicated by federal, state, local laws, university policy, and ethical guidelines.Proficient in a variety of computer software applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.Ability to gather data, compile information, prepare reports and present information and content.Detail oriented with proven organizational and time management skills.Sensitivity for intercultural communication.Experience within nonprofit or other social service setting.
