Nature & Purpose of Position:Title: Development of an Automated Manufacturing System using Open-Source EquipmentThe project aims at developing a manufacturing cell that engraves a wood coaster blank automatically once a design pattern is selected. The student assistant will work on integrate various automated systems, such as robotic arms, automated guided vehicles, conveyor belt, IoT sensors, and controllers to achieve the engraving with the possibility to expand/add additional manufacturing processes and material handling.
