We are pleased to announce exciting opportunities for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow within our Research Group at the ECE department of the SOE at LAU. Our team is dedicated to advancing pediatric epilepsy care through innovative technologies, and we are seeking highly motivated individuals to contribute to our research on patient-specific seizure detection systems. The postdoctoral role is for 6 months and can be renewed for an additional 6 months, providing a monthly stipend and annual conference travel support.
The selected candidate will work on a funded project aimed at developing a personalized seizure detection system utilizing wearable ECG technology. By applying advanced machine and deep learning techniques, we strive to create customized algorithms that analyze ECG data to detect seizures, providing timely warnings to enable preventive actions. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of life for children with epilepsy.
Qualifications
- The Candidate Must hold a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering or a closely related field, with a strong background in biomedical signal processing, machine learning, and deep learning. Experience with wearable ECG technology and a proven publication record in relevant peer-reviewed journals are considered assets. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct experiments, analyze data, mentor undergraduate students and publish findings.
