Job Summary
ABAC¿s Department of Science and Mathematics is home to an interdisciplinary group of scholars who work together to offer courses in math and natural sciences. We seek qualified adjunct faculty to teach courses in Mathematics. Part-time, temporary, adjunct faculty may instruct one or two courses a semester on an as-needed basis. Possible courses include MATH 1111 College Algebra, MATH 0999 Support of College Algebra, MATH 1001 Quantitative Reasoning, MATH 0997 Support of Quantitative Reasoning, MATH 1112 Trigonometry, and MATH 1401 Introduction to Statistics, with courses being offered in a traditional face-to-face format or online, depending upon departmental needs. The Department of Science and Mathematics offers courses at ABAC¿s main site in Tifton, at ABAC¿s instructional site in Bainbridge, and in partnership with high schools throughout the region in support of dual enrollment course offerings. Applicants interested in offering classes at either site or possibly at one of our partner high schools are welcome to apply. Applications should include a brief cover letter, CV/resume, a list of at least three professional references, and unofficial copies of graduate transcripts.
Required Qualifications:
Master¿s degree with a minimum of 18 credits of graduate coursework in Mathematics.
Preferred Qualifications:
Evidence of successful teaching of college-level coursework preferred.
