Job Summary:



The Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine's mission is to provide outstanding, cutting-edge clinical care, research, and state-of-the-art training. The Department is seeking a board-eligible or board-qualified pediatric otolaryngologist to join the full-time faculty. This position will spend up to 49% of a 1.0FTE at Denver Health Medical Center, with a majority of employed time spent at Children's Hospital Colorado. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
    Clinical service in the field of Pediatric Otolaryngology, with the primary location for this position being Children's Hospital Colorado located at Anschutz Medical Campus as well as surrounding network of care sites, and secondary location being the Denver Health Medical Center. Teaching and mentoring of fellows, residents, medical students, and other related trainees. Faculty expectation for regular academic/scholarship/research activities toward academic promotion

Professional Field - Pediatric Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery

Supervision Received - This faculty position will report directly to the Chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery.

Supervision Exercised - This position exercises no formal supervision of employees

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Assistant Professor:
    Doctor of Medicine degree Board Certified or Board Qualified in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery If Board Qualified, must receive Board Certification within 2 years of hire. Board Eligible in Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery Fellowship trained in Pediatric Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery Ability to obtain a Colorado medical license

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated commitment and ability to perform duties related to the clinical, teaching, and research missions of the Department.

    Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt easily to change Great attention to detail and quality Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other faculty and staff at all levels throughout the institution Strong history of collaboration Outstanding communication skills, advanced organizational skills, and compassion for patients. Willingness and ability to build relationships with community providers and practices

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

$275,000 to $350,000

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
