The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Cardiology has an opening for a full-time Open Rank: Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor – Imaging MD position.

Nature of Work:

• Reading Pediatric Echocardiograms.

Position Emphasis:

The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Reading of Pediatric Echocardiograms.
• 1 day of outpatient clinic.
• 4-6 weeks of Inpatient Service.
• 3-4 weekends call.
• 4-5 weeks Saturday in the Echo lab reading echo's.

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates will be responsible for travel expenses related to the interview process and any relocation expenses, if applicable.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range has been established at:

• Assistant Professor $215,700 to $272,000
• Associate Professor $256,400 to $325,100
• Professor $308,600 to $420,500

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements

Assistant Professor

• Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (MD/DO), or equivalent
• Board Certified in Pediatrics
• At least 1-2 years of Pediatric Echocardiogram reading experience
• 0-6 years of clinical experience, interest in pursuing academic promotion

Associate Professor

• Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (MD/DO), or equivalent
• Board Certified in Pediatrics
• At least 1-2 years of Pediatric Echocardiogram reading experience
• 6 or more years of clinical experience
• Prior experience with program development, teaching or research
• Examples of scholarship

Professor

• Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (MD/DO), or equivalent
• Board Certified in Pediatrics
• At least 1-2 years of Pediatric Echocardiogram reading experience
• 6 or more years of clinical experience
• Prior experience with program development, teaching or research
• Examples of scholarship

Required: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire

Condition of Employment

• Must successfully pass a drug test through Children's Hospital Colorado
• Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of academic medical institutions
• Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to provide independent decision-making related to clinical management of patient population
• Broad knowledge and clinical skills in cardiac care
• Commitment to Patient Safety, Quality Care, Communication, and Customer Service

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional Training in pediatric echo, outpatient and inpatient
