Position Summary
Part time faculty position located at Arnold campus and Glen Burnie Town Center, Glen Burnie campus. Instructor is responsible for classroom and lab instruction in the Clinical Medical Assistant field. The instructor is to follow the curriculum outline and learning expectations as provided. Content is housed in Canvas (online learning platform). Instructors must have some computer experience, expertise in the Clinical Medical Assisting field or higher and the ability to effectively manage a classroom. Prior teaching experience is not required. A desire to share your knowledge of the Medical Assistant field is a must! Instructors will be required to adhere to Anne Arundel Community College’s Adjunct Faculty Instructional policies and procedures.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare materials needed for instruction, labs, and supplies;
Provide basic lab maintenance and track inventory of equipment and tools utilized;
Relate instruction and material to course objectives;
Discuss and demonstrate workplace safety, personal/patient safety and infection control;
Communicate effectively and efficiently with students, other faculty and staff;
Submit grades, attendance, reports and records in a timely manner;
Prepare students to sit for the national certification clinical medical assistant credential through the National Heathcareer Association (NHA).
Required Qualifications:
Must have active certification CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), or RMA
-have at least 5 years experience practicing as a clinical medical assistant
-have at least 1 year of teacher/trainer experience
-previous teaching experience preferred
