$21.81 per hour
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
• Demonstrable experience with digital photography and editing software
Preferred:
• Associate’s Degree or higher in photography or related field
• Experience with photography for marketing use
Additional Eligibility Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license

Position Type & Work Schedule:
• Part-time (up to 19 hours per week)

Work Environment:
• Indoors, outdoors depending on the event
Physical Demands:
• Bending, sitting, kneeling, or lifting depending on the type of photoshoot and event
• Driving to event locations using a personal vehicle
Travel:
• 25%-40% depending on the location of events. Some events or photography services will take place
throughout our service area and on our South County or La Paz campuses.
Note:
• AC127 is the location of the photo studio, but editing can be done in the Communications and Marketing
office or remotely. Work is also on-location at various events and photoshoots.

SUMMARY OF FUNCTION:
Provides quality photographic support to the campus community, and the Marketing and
Communications department specifically. Supports news media, local school districts (through our education
consortium), and other programs and organizations with photography needs. Uses creative photography to document
people, places, and events that reflect the AWC brand and mission.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
Serves Students. Photograph events on campus and in the community using
professional camera equipment. Work with various campus constituents to
schedule photography of campus events and provide links to the photos in a
timely manner following the event. Capturing events in a manner that highlights
the student and employee experience at the college helps us tell our story.
Upload, edit, and post images to the AWC online photo gallery in a timely
manner.
Prepare and maintain photography equipment and studio equipment. Keep
inventory of equipment and identify replacement needs.
Collaborate with the Communications and Marketing team to support the college
brand and marketing efforts. Actively participate in campaign planning and
contribute and execute creative ideas for use of photography in marketing
projects.
Develop promotional or documentary videos and other multi-media pieces to
support marketing and social media content. Collaborate with the AWC video
production team to support their video work.
Provide excellent customer service with internal and external clients before,
during, and after requested events or photoshoots.
Schedule studio times or facilitate times for employee and affiliated students’
headshots. Send employee headshots to HR following editing. Take group and
team photos for student groups, athletic teams, and other groups.
Support and participate in strategic planning initiatives and performs other duties
as assigned.
