Classification Title:Administrative Analyst/Specialist Exempt I
Job Summary:Under the general direction of the Dean of the Library, the incumbent’s primary responsibility is to provide leadership and oversight for the Library Administrative Office and operations. The AA/S manages sensitive information and situations, provides the lead work direction for office administrative staff, and oversees the day-to-day operations of the unit. The incumbent maintains thorough and detailed knowledge of Library and University policies and procedures. In the absence of the Dean and Associate Dean the incumbent is in charge of matters requiring the attention of Library Administration. This position is responsible for financial, HR, and other administrative issues. Financial duties include fund management, reconciliation, fiscal analysis and projections for the University Library budget, including state general funds, lottery, foundation, and trust accounts.
FLSA:Exempt - This position is covered by health benefits, and is exempt, (not eligible for overtime compensation) according to the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Department Information:As the center of campus intellectual discovery, the Sacramento State University Library promotes teaching, learning, research, and scholarly communication at the University by integrating the Library with campus student success programs and instruction. One of twenty-three libraries in the California State University System, the Sacramento State Library holds over 1.4 million volumes, comprised of print and electronic monographs and serials, and is a Federal Document Depository. The Library’s mission is to inspire excellence in teaching, learning, and scholarly activities.

Minimum Qualifications:Entry to this classification requires general knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and/or program field with a foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.
Required Qualifications:EDUCATION:
1.Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting (or closely related field) and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience.
EXPERIENCE:
2.Accounting and/or budgeting experience, such as budget oversight, performing fiscal analysis and projections.
3.Experience in performing a variety of administrative and technical duties, such as research, analyze, develop, evaluate and recommend appropriate solutions for operations, procedures and policies.
4.Experience providing initiative, leadership, training, and lead work direction or supervision in the workplace.
5.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
6.¬¬Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
7.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8.Detail oriented.
9.Demonstrated reliability, good judgment, and dependability.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
-Ability to pass a background check.
12.Experience using budgeting/accounting software such as Common Financial System (CFS).
13.Human Resources and Personnel Management experience.
14.Master’s Degree in business, accounting, or related field.
15.Experience working in complex organizations such as instituion of higher education.
16.3+ years of experience in accounting and/or budgeting
17.3+ years of experience in Human Resources and Personnel Management.
18.Experience working within a collective bargaining environment.
