Adjunct Faculty, Department of Science and Mathematics

Position Summary:

ABAC¿s Department of Science and Mathematics is home to an interdisciplinary group of scholars who work together to offer courses in support of our USG-approved Core Curriculum and the Biology B.S. degree. We seek qualified adjunct faculty to staff courses in Biology, Chemistry, or Mathematics. Part-time, temporary, adjunct faculty may instruct one or two courses a semester on an as-needed basis. Depending upon the candidate¿s area specialization, possible courses may include: introductory biology, introductory chemistry, environmental science, physical science, interdisciplinary science for educators, anatomy and physiology I&II and/or associated labs, and special topics in biology or environmental science in the upper division. These courses may be offered in a traditional face-to-face format or online depending upon the need. The Department of Science and Mathematics offers courses both at ABAC¿s main site in Tifton and at the instructional site in Bainbridge. Applicants interested in teaching at either site are welcome to apply.

Required Qualifications:

-Master¿s degree with a minimum of 18 credits of graduate coursework in biology, chemistry, mathematics, or related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Evidence of successful teaching of college-level courses preferred.
