DescriptionReporting tothe Senior Director, the Senior Physician Recruiter will be responsible for alltasks associated with the successful recruitment of qualified physicians forfaculty and non-faculty positions (clinical/basic science) within the LewisKatz School of Medicine as well as clinical positions within TempleHealth. 

 

The SeniorPhysician Recruiter will have overall management of assigned searches frominitial candidate inquiry and screening through to appointment confirmation.Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: performingcandidate sourcing tasks utilizing innovative and current practices, includingnetworking, direct sourcing, social media, referrals, online publications andother electronic platforms; travelling to local, regional and national careerfairs, conventions and networking events, as needed; assessing and screening(phone, in-person) applicants; consulting with department administrators andchairs about physician faculty and non-faculty vacancies, and presentingappropriate CV’s to search committees  for further review/evaluation;serving as liaison between candidates and the department, and responding tocandidate inquiries throughout the recruitment process; working with the HRdepartment on recruitment process for non-faculty physician hires; conductingreference checks (verbal, written), and gathering relevant hiringdocumentation; tracking candidates/applicants in the applicant tracking system,and creating reports for senior management, as needed; developing andmaintaining complex spreadsheets, and summarizing and presenting data, asrequired; and participating in the candidate site visit process.

 

The SeniorPhysician Recruiter may also contribute to the planning and execution ofvarious departmental recruitment related initiatives and partner with theSenior Director to create and execute strategic recruitment plans in accordancewith the needs and goals of the Lewis Katz School of Medicine, TempleUniversity Hospital and Health System. Performs other related duties asassigned.  Full/partial emote work schedule a possibility. 

 

RequiredEducation & Experience:

Bachelor’sdegree with at least six years of related recruitment experience. An equivalentcombination of education and experience may be considered.

 

RequiredSkills & Abilities:

*Demonstratedcomputer skills, and proficiency with MS Office Suite to include advancedskills with MS Word and MS Excel.

*Demonstratedknowledge of current trends and best practices related to candidateprocurement.  Intermediate to advanced user of social networking sites andtheir capabilities such as Facebook and LinkedIn.

*Ability towork in a complex, fast paced environment. 

*Provenability to build and maintain candidate networks.

*Demonstratednegotiation and collaborative skills, along with the ability to build andmaintain relationships with physician faculty, healthcare practitioners, andadministration at all levels.

*Demonstratedorganizational and prioritization skills, along with the ability to managemultiple projects simultaneously.

*Ability towork independently and in a team environment.

*Demonstratedcustomer service skills, which include responding to customer needs andrequests in a timely manner.

*Demonstratedcommunication skills, including the ability to be an effective interviewer.

*Demonstratedstrategic thinking skills, with a strong attention to detail.

*Ability tohandle confidential information.

*Must beable to travel locally, regionally and nationally, as needed.

 

Preferred:

*Experiencewith healthcare recruitment (clinical, basic science) experience stronglypreferred. *Extensive knowledge of medical and surgical clinical specialtyareas and strong closing skills.
