General Summary This position serves as the student hiring human resources liaison, assisting in the hiring process for all student employees within University Housing Services. The position compiles all University Housing employee department personnel files, both physical and electronic, for retention purposes, completes all hiring for University Housing Services student staff and assists with UHS Graduate Assistants.
Additional Information:
Required Qualifications 1. High school graduation or equivalent.

2. One (1) year (12 months) of work experience comparable to the second level of this series.

3. Any one or any combination of the following, totaling two (2) years (24 months) of experience in the categories below:
a. work experience performing office/clerical activities, including use of computer systems
b. college or university coursework in any curriculum
- twelve (12) semester hours = six (6) months
- twenty-four (24) semester hours = twelve (12) months
- thirty-six (36) semester hours = eighteen (18) months
- forty-eight (48) semester hours = twenty-four (24) months

If this position is Security Sensitive or if you are subject to a criminal background investigation based on University policy, then employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation. You may not begin work until the criminal background investigation results have been received and cleared by Human Resources.
Desired Qualifications: 1. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel
2. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally over the phone and in person, including the ability to take and relay accurate information
3. Ability to perform mainframe data entry
4. Must be flexible to manage multiple and changing priorities
5. Working knowledge of typical office equipment (computers, copy and scanning machines, multi-line telephone, etc.)
6. Good record-keeping and proofreading skills

Hiring Rate/Range $14.25-$15.03 per hour

Work Hours Monday-Friday 8:00 am-4:30 pm
