Duties: An individual is needed to provide high level functions for the Gearhart Lab. Required duties will include conducting timely research in stem cell biology, troubleshooting problems and assisting lab members. In addition, this individual will analyze data, write/prepare/edit grant, report, issue briefs, and research article components; coordinate the writing and submission of grant applications, annual reports, and research publications; assist with the implementation of the research program; assist in the design and implementation of new research studies; create/develop/maintain numerous databases for research and reporting purposes, oversee a number of program application/selection processes; and create and edit tables/graphics for research, reporting and other purposes. The individual and the principal investigator will also work together to plan and design experiments and then will document, discuss, and analyze the results. The individual shall have opportunities to both present research findings at lab, campus, and national scientific meetings, and to be an author on resulting scientific publications.
Qualifications: Highly advanced professional discipline. M.D., Ph. D. or equivalent doctoral degree in stem cell science with at least 5 years of experience in the stem cell field (science, ethics and politics) is required.
