Job Description: The University of Florida - College of Medicine - Jacksonville, Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery, seeks a full-time faculty position for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Surgeon at the tenure or non-tenure accruing level of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor. Major responsiblities include providing clinical and surgical care of trauma patients, strong emphasis on breast, general reconstruction, and lower extremity reconstruction (no hand or face call required) elective plastic surgery patients, teaching and research. This position will report to the Chairman of the Department of Surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine - Jacksonville. Following is a general description of duties and responsibilities: Provide and maintain a high level of quality in-patient intermediate care services in all aspects of Plastic and Reconstructive Breast Surgery. Provide clinical teaching of trainees in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and participate in the educational program. Be responsible for excellent communication with primary care physicians. Assist in marketing the Plastic Surgery Program to community physicians and managed care organizations. Participate in monthly division meetings, administrative functions and institutional committees as requested.
Minimum Requirements: M.D./D.O.; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Plastic Surgery; Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Florida; Completion of an ACGME accredited residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery; Post-offer health assessment required.
