Teach Freshman Experience and College Success courses and workshops for targeted students. Provide academic support/counseling for first and second year students. Work in conjunction with first and second year programs. Serve as principal contact for students seeking services through the Rinella Learning Center. Serve as a team member in the support and oversight of TAP or SEP. Assist with the delivery of program services during Summer Orientation and Registration Program. This is a full-time, permanent, 12 month position.
Must have a master's degree in education, college student personnel, or related area; at least 3 years of experience working in higher education (GA experience counts); some teaching experience; evidence of work with diverse populations of students. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to coordinate retention efforts including assessment, advising, counseling, individualized educational planning and tracking. This position calls for some experience working with special populations and retention services assisting students in their academic, personal and social adjustment to the university.
