The SACS Coordinator position is responsible for coordinating the development, implementation, and maintenance of processes and submission of reports to meet Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) requirements, including substantive changes and faculty credentials.
This position reports to the Executive Vice President/Provost and is responsible for maintaining current information on SACS policies and procedures. Coordinates the submission of notifications and other appropriate documentation under the SACS Substantive Change policy. Develops, implements, and maintains appropriate processes and systems to meet SACS documentation and reporting requirements. Also develops, implements, and maintains appropriate processes and systems to meet SACS faculty credentials requirements. Coordinates the dissemination of information about SACS policies and procedures to the College community. Working with the SACS Liaison, coordinates activities related to SACS compliance.
Must have 2 years of experience in SACS compliance reporting and faculty credentials in higher education and a Bachelor's degree in related field Must also have knowledge of Faculty credential information, planning processes in a higher education environment, and effective coordination skills. Candidates must also have effective writing skills
Preferred knowledge of current requirements for accreditation by the Southern Association on Colleges and Schools (SACS) Commission on Colleges.
