Mount Ida College is a small independent institution located eight miles west of Boston in Newton, Massachusetts, on a beautiful 72-acre campus in a quiet residential neighborhood. Founded in 1899, Mount Ida offers a diverse learning community and enjoys a reputation for excellence in emphasizing baccalaureate degrees that blend the liberal arts with professional preparation and prepare graduates for graduate study. The College enrolls approximately 1,400 undergraduate students and 20 graduate students in its newly introduced master of science in management. More than twenty-five areas of study are offered within five schools: the School of Arts and Science, School of Business, School of Design, School of Animal Science, and the New England Institute of Funeral Service Education.
Mount Ida College seeks qualified candidates for a Data Coordinator and Researcher. The Data Coordinator and Researcher is responsible for maintaining the donor database, creating and generating reports and assisting with gift processing. This position will also be responsible for donor and prospect research by identifying, collecting, analyzing, recording and reporting of confidential biographical and financial data regarding prospect donors (individuals, corporations, foundations and government agencies) in an effort to support the College’s fundraising priorities, strategies and major giving goals.
Bachelor’s degree required along with previous experience working with systems, managing data and developing reports using report writer programs. Experience with PowerCampus is strongly preferred. Additional qualifications include previous experience in conducting research, preferably prospect or development research, using internet and print resources, as well as strong computer skills and experience with MS OfficeSuite and database programs.
