General Statement of Duties: +Central Michigan University seeks a tenure-track faculty colleague to join a dynamic and accomplished community of faculty, students, and staff in the following full-time tenure-track position beginning August 2013. Our growing programs are TEAC accredited and offer a comprehensive range of programming leading to master's, specialist, and doctoral degrees. The position requires maintenance of scholarship, service to the University and educational organizations, and effective teaching and advising at the university level. The position will require teaching graduate level courses, advising master's, specialist, and doctoral level students, and supporting our programs through research and service activities. The successful candidate will be expected to supervise or contribute to doctoral dissertations. Faculty must be able to interact effectively with graduate students as well as university and K-12 colleagues.
Required Qualifications: Earned doctorate in educational leadership, higher education administration, or related field; Ability to teach a variety of courses in educational leadership which may include curriculum, supervision, administrative theory, and public school business administration; Experience as a school administrator in a K-12 setting. To be eligible for hire at the associate professor rank, candidate must meet the requirements for that rank as established by the department by-laws. The successful applicant will receive the appropriate rank and title based on university and department established standards.
