The Senior Technical Support Specialist is responsible for providing support for classes and events on Main Campus primarily during afternoon and evening hours. Responsibilities include providing training and support on the use of technology in teaching spaces, responding to help alerts, resolving technical issues, securing classrooms, and delivering and setting up equipment. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree and at least two years of directly related technical experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills and Abilities:
*Demonstrated experience setting up and supporting computer, (Windows and Macintosh), AV media and conferencing equipment.
*Excellent verbal and written communications skills along with the ability to effectively interact with a diverse group of individuals.
*Demonstrated customer services and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to respond immediately to technical issues and perform preventative maintenance on smart classroom equipment and facilities to ensure no interruption of service during scheduled classes and events.
*Familiarity with mobile technology.
*Ability to work before/after business hours and/or weekends, as necessary.
*AMX Certification for control system design and installation, Enova Solutions Certification and/o InfoComm Certfied.
*Technology Specialist (CTS) Certification.
