This position is responsible for assisting with all ongoing education and coordination of charges, payer fees, coding, and similar aspects of the revenue cycle process as it relates to professional services billing, including professional medical record documentation compliance. Under the direction of the Associate Director for Billing Operations this position works collaboratively with the University Compliance Office and each Primary Care Satellite office to assure that appropriate and accurate ICD-9 and CPT codes are utilized. Assist in providing analysis and recommendations for the establishment of fees for service in the Primary Care network based on the agreed upon methodology.
Education/Experience: Associate's degree in Business, Medical or related field with at least 2-4 years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must hold current coding certification, RHIT, CPC, CCS-P, CMC.
Technical: Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Experience with IDX other software management systems preferred. Superior written and verbal communication skills required.
Physical Demand: Sitting, standing, pushing, lifting, and walking.
