Description of Duties: The successful candidate will report directly to the Head Football Coach and is responsible for assisting in the planning and evaluating all aspects and facets of a football program with a rich history in the NCAA. Recruitment of skilled and academically qualified student-athletes and monitoring academic progress. Assist in planning, organizing, conducting, and evaluating practice sessions along with development, implementation, and evaluation of game plans and strategies. Serve as leader, mentor, and role model for athletics. Assist head coach in the preparation of team schedule, fundraising initiatives, team travel, and administrative processes/procedures. Ensure compliance with all necessary policies, procedures. Coaching - 20% Player Evaluations - 5% Recruiting - 30% Video Break-down - 5% Game Preparation - 10% Practice Preparation - 5% Team Travel - 5% Scheduling - 5% Secondary Responsibilities - 15%
Additional Responsibilities: Assist with intercollegiate event management. Assist with supervision of weight room and oversee student-athlete study hall sessions. Assist other intercollegiate coaches with the admissions process.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree; Minimum of three years coaching experience in intercollegiate football or related field; Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; Must be a highly motivated, self-starter; have sound judgment and decision-making ability along with attention to detail; Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; Computer skills including Excel and Word.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree and five years of intercollegiate football offensive coaching experience
