The Technical Support Specialist in the School of Pharmacy will be responsible for the supervision and daily operations of the computer lab. Primary responsibilities will be to provide computer support to all end users across a variety of platforms including maintenance of appropriate servers; posting to and modifying the School’s website; managing the Pharmacy School’s specific software, coordinating Blackboard courses, and course capture for the faculty and School; and coordinating the set-up of computer lab for end users. In addition, the Technical Support Specialist will provide immediate assistance for students, staff, instructors or non-university participants in the event of computer or equipment problems; troubleshoot and assist end users with application software to meet instructional, research and educational needs; provide assistance to students, faculty and staff with computers and peripheral equipment, including the effective use of various software applications and recommendations regarding hardware upgrades, etc.; and operating PC and Macintosh workstations, and administering Novell and ScoUnix servers. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor Degree and at least one year of directly related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
