NYIT seeks a temporary Assistant to the Dean will coordinate all administrative details and processes for the School of Health Professions. Provides executive/administrative assistance to the Dean, including maintaining calendar and scheduling meetings, preparing faculty hire/tenure/promotion letters, reports, meetings, minutes and other correspondence; processing requisitions and purchase orders; assisting in the management of budgets and fiscal reports; maintaining filing systems; answering telephones and responding to general inquiries. Project coordination support includes: coordinating annual tenure/review and promotion process, coordinating accreditation report, providing support to commencement event, coordinating scholarship and awards programs, monitoring the Dean's budget and capital projects budget. Estimated start date is January 2, 2013 and estimated end date is April 29, 2013.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, and minimum of five years experience, including at least two years as an executive assistant. Additional requirements: Must be extremely organized, able to multi-task and prioritize. Must be professional and respectful of confidential issues. Must possess excellent communication skills (verbal and writing), exceptional and utilize good business judgment skills. Proficiency in routine office software (Word, Excel, etc.), required.
