Clark State Community College seeks nominations and applications for the position of President. The new president will be expected to assume the position in summer of 2013.
Clark State Community College was named one of the fastest growing community colleges by Community College Week and has experienced tremendous growth over the last decade. It is a multi-campus, open access, two-year institution that serves 5,400 students in Clark, Champaign, Greene and Logan counties in Ohio. Clark State offers over 80 associate and technical degrees and certificates. The College has been a state leader in online learning, with an abundance of courses and degrees online.
The President of Clark State will be expected to review and generate contemporary curriculum offerings, to be a visible, inclusive leader willing to build and champion quality partnerships, to embrace student success, to strengthen the Clark State footprint throughout the community, to provide the vision and leadership to reinforce the fiscal and philanthropic directions of the college, and to energize both the business and academic communities in developing innovative programs and services.
A successful candidate will possess a graduate degree from a regionally accredited institution; a terminal degree from a regionally accredited institution is preferred. A competitive candidate will also have at least 5-10 years administrative experience in higher education settings and a demonstrated record of student-centered scholarly and creative achievements. Other desired qualifications include experience specifically in community college program development, experience in online learning and continuing education, a record of service to diverse community groups and communities, proven leadership successes, and strong communication and problem solving skills with all constituency groups.

Chapter 149 is the Ohio public records law. This law essentially says that once a candidate submits information for consideration for this position, the information is subject to the public records law and would have to be disclosed if a public records request were received from the media, individual or anyone else.
