Job Description Summary:
ColonialTemps is a GW in-house service operated by the Human Resources Department that identifies temporary staff to fill short-term or long-term staffing needs.
Temporary job assignments can range from a day to many months, part-time or full-time. Assignments can be located in any of GW’s locations/campuses including the Foggy Bottom and Ashburn, Virginia campuses.
Finance and Accounting support temporary assignments include accounts payable, accounts receivable, junior accountants, staff accountants, financial analysts, budget assistants, senior accountants, and financial managers.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following: accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconcilation, monitoring expenses, monitoring budgets, financial analysis, and journal entries.
These positions are not benefits eligible.
High School diploma and 0-2 years of relevant experience are required.
Special Instructions to Applicants:
Assignments may be available in either Ashburn, VA or Washington, DC.
Checks and verifies records, prepares invoices and vouchers, types, files, posts ledger and general journal entries and/or balances accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
Codes entries for distribution to accounts. Uses office automated systems to input data, generate reports, conduct specialized research projects and respond to inquiries.
Maintains records, files and data retrieval systems.
Assists in collection, generating and summarizing data for financial reports.
May reconcile difficult accounts.
Performs other work related duties as assigned.
