Reporting to the Senior Director of Development Central Programs, the Assistant Director of Development Central Programs will advance the mission of Miami University by planning, organizing, and implementing strategies to increase the level of personal involvement and financial commitment of parents, alumni and friends. Particular emphasis will be given to strategies seeking philanthropic and volunteer support for student scholarships and central program, such as university libraries.
Bachelor's degree; minimum of two to five years of fundraising or comparable professional work experience; outstanding oral and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with internal and external constituents; excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; a familiarity with word processing and spreadsheets; willingness to travel on both a regional and national level. (Internships, volunteer work, and other experience gained during the completion of degree programs may be counted towards these requirements.)
