The Department of Economics seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/non-tenured positions to teach undergraduate and graduate courses. Positions are not available every semester and are contingent upon student enrollment and the availability of funding. Appointments are usually made on a semester-by-semester basis, though sometimes there is departmental need for an annual appointment. Positions are renewable annually; contingent upon budgetary funding and performance. Appointees are expected to be excellent classroom teachers, engaged in scholarly activities and service.
Applicants must hold a PhD in Economics. Salary is highly competitive and dependent upon qualifications and experience. Background check will be conducted for finalists. Position funding is pending budgetary approval, course availability and enrollment.
Candidates should submit an up to date CV, 3 original letters of reference, and a cover letter.
