The Department of Chemistry at the University of Florida (http://www.chem.ufl.edu) is seeking applicants for two tenure-track nine-month faculty positions at the Associate or Full Professor level, to begin August 2016 or later. These positions are available through the interdisciplinary multi-college UF Preeminence Initiative in Drug Discovery and Development, with the anticipation of two additional hires will be sought within the same general target areas for August 2017. Although the research area is open, a research portfolio that includes a focus on the chemistry of cancer as broadly defined by one or more of the following areas is desired:
(a) screening and development of biomarkers and probes
(b) design and synthesis of delivery systems for treatment
(c) structural biology of novel targets
(d) chemical synthesis of anticancer lead compounds including natural products and small molecules
(e) computer based methods of drug design and development in cellular and molecular imaging and tumor mapping.

The successful candidate will have an established, internationally recognized research program and a strong demonstrated record of combining scholarship and teaching. Candidates will be considered at the Associate and Full professor levels and have a Ph.D. in a relevant area.
