The Department of Surgery at the University of Florida is seeking a candidate to serve as Chief of Surgical Oncology in a tenure or non-tenure accruing appointment as an Associate/Full Professor. Highly qualified candidates will have demonstrable expertise in clinical care of malignancy and related benign conditions, strong potential for extramurally funded research, and clear commitment to student and resident education. Strong communication and proven leadership skills are a necessity. Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience and expertise. The successful candidate for this position will be board certified in general surgery with additional fellowship training and have a demonstrated commitment to the development of an academic career through research, teaching and clinical practice. UF Health Shands at the University of Florida is the primary teaching hospital for the College of Medicine and includes a comprehensive 750+ bed facility with a dedicated cancer hospital.
Negotiable based on education and experience.
MD degree; Board certified in General Surgery with additional fellowship training.
Research background preferred.
