Chief Information and Technology Officer - responsible for ensuring the availability of technology and software resources for the Academic, Administrative, and Support Services of the College. This involves the supervision of the College’s Computer Network Services and staff, the Administrative Data System Services and staff, and the Instructional Media Services and staff. The incumbent will lead the installation, maintenance, and security of all computer hardware and software, all Internet related hardware and software, the Administrative Data System and Services, as well as integrating technology resources into the College’s learning systems to enhance academic program delivery. This position is part of the President’s staff and is expected to provide leadership and vision in the continued development and management of the institution’s Information Technology resources and services. This position requires a strong technical background and the ability to integrate both academic and administrative computing and telecommunication services. This position will serve as an advocate for institutional Information Technology initiatives. The incumbent is on call and must respond to emergencies that arise. The incumbent will be evaluated on the ability to supervise and manage subordinate staff. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or computer related discipline; At least 3 years of relevant work experience; Ability to supervise subordinates; Excellent verbal communication skills; Knowledge of Educational Technology Systems; Ability to function as an active facilitator or member of campus wide technology teams; Demonstrated competencies in Computer Networks, Administrative Data Systems, and Educational Learning Systems; Experience with both Linux and Windows Servers; Desirable Qualifications: Master’s degree in Information Technology or computer related discipline; At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a Higher Educational environment; Experience with the Datatel/Ellucian Data System. 52 weeks, 40 hours/week APPLICATION PROCEDURES For full consideration applicants should submit a college employment application, resume and transcripts.
