Assistant Professor of Cognition and Cognitive Neuroscience (tenure-track)
The Department of Psychology in the College of Arts and Science at Vanderbilt University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in the areas of cognition and cognitive neuroscience. We seek outstanding candidates who are developing novel approaches to advance understanding in a major domain of cognition, broadly defined. Of particular interest are individuals who combine creative and rigorous experiments with neural, computational and/or theoretically driven approaches. We are interested in scholars whose research and teaching will complement and extend our existing strengths in the domains of vision science, perception, attention, object learning, memory, cognitive control, decision making and social cognitive neuroscience (e.g., neurolaw). Ideally, the candidates’ research interests would also bridge departments and disciplines. We particularly welcome applications from women and minority scholars.
