Responsible for teaching early childhood education, pre-practicum courses and supervising practicum to diverse adult learners. Participate collaboratively in curriculum review and development, outcomes assessment, departmental and college activities and may include but are not limited to: assistance with the NAEYC accreditation process, community engagement, recruitment, high school programs and other special programs.  Provide leadership and mentoring to adjunct faculty.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development or a related discipline plus 2 years full time experience working with young children (birth to 8 years) required. Experience supervising practicum students including administrative duties preferred. Higher education/community college/secondary school teaching experience is preferred. May involve travel to other campuses and teaching day, evening and weekend classes. A teaching demonstration is required as part of the interview process. 232 day, 12 month contract. Position is contingent upon MCC Board of Governors approval. Hiring process includes a background check. NOTE: College degrees obtained outside the U.S. accepted only when interpreted by transcript service members of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.
