FLSA Status Exempt Monthly Salary Salary commensurate with experience Hours per Week 40.00 Standard from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Hiring Department Institute for Transformational Learning Purpose of Position Provide strategic direction and operational leadership for the University of Texas Online Consortium (UTOC), the U.T. System’s clearinghouse of online courses and programs, and Finish@UT, the U.T. System’s online, competency-based degree completion program. Essential Functions Directing the development and operations of these program portfolios. Developing market intelligence and prepare and implement an annual program development plan. Advising on marketing and recruitment strategies for UTOC’s and Finish@UT’s modules, courses, and degree programs Overseeing the administration of Finish@UT’s support services including instructional recruitment and student advising. Establishing partnerships with academic and corporate partners. Operational responsibilities include proposal development and evaluation, program marketing, managing client relations, overseeing program operations, and conducting evaluation and follow up reports to ensure that each Finish@UT program meets cost and revenue budgets and goals. Creating and managing a plan to recruit, manage, develop, and assess the performance of Finish@UT instructional staff and the outside providers responsible for delivering associated services. Working closely with the ITL strategic enrollment management team, the Director will define UTOC’s and Finish@UT’s marketing strategy, including approval of marketing and recruitment materials, advertisements, and web site. In conjunction with ITL leadership, the Director will create and work with a portfolio advisory board. Providing regular reports on Finish@UT’s status and budget. Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in related field and 5 years of related experience in managing, developing, and marketing online education programs. Strong business and financial acumen, proven business development and relationship marketing skills, knowledge of adult learning practices, and consultative selling and negotiating skills. Preferred Qualifications Exceptional experience managing, developing, and marketing online education programs. Outstanding abilities to communicate with senior executives and decision makers in person and in writing, to work effectively in a team environment, and to make highly effective public appearances (including speeches) and private presentations to various organizations and potential clients. The ability and willingness to travel to work with current or potential clients statewide and nationally and globally if needed. High energy, enthusiasm, and creativity. Working Conditions Requires occasional evening or weekend hours. May work around standard office conditions. Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation. Additional Information The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length. This position has the option to elect the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) instead of TRS, subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
