Position Summary: The Office of the General Counsel at Michigan State University seeks an Assistant General Counsel to have primary responsibility for legal work relating to the University's technology transfer, licensing, and intellectual property operations.

Faculty: Minimum Qualifications
Support Staff: Minimum Requirements
Juris Doctor degree; admission to or eligibility for admission to the State Bar of Michigan; at least four years' experience involving progressively more responsible transactional work concerning intellectual property; expertise in copyright and trademark law.

Typing Requirements (wpm):

Desired Qualifications: Strong academic background; excellent writing ability; familiarity with college/university operations, especially copyright matters, licensing programs, and research and technology transfer operations; experience in patent law.
