Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Admissions Counselor.
Primary Job Duties: Recruitment travel to high schools and college fairs, review and evaluate student applications to assess admissibility; interview prospective students; counsel prospective students and their families; respond to admissions related inquiries; evaluate transfer coursework; plan on-campus and off-campus events; and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of professional experience in an educational environment, communication, sales, marketing or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, customer service, analytical, problem solving, organizational, and oral & written communication skills; ability to present persuasively in front of an audience; ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work independently or as part of a team. Skill in designing and managing on-campus and off-campus programs. Valid driver’s license and good driving record are required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required. The work schedule will be based upon the needs of the University and will require significant travel. Many evening and weekend hours are required with overnight stays.
This is a full-time exempt State position with a full benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
