As a professional/technical faculty you will teach, develop materials and experiences, and manage a classroom and lab facility to develop technicians who are capable of employment in the regional motorcycle, marine and power equipment (MMPE) industry. This program culminates in a certificate or AAS degree. This program leadership position combines a complex set of technical expertise with supportive and collaborative attitudes to create successful students well prepared for industry while managing lab facilities and budgets to sustain the program itself. This position reports to the program dean.


  • Hold or be eligible to obtain a state professional-technical certificate to teach in the above trade area
  • Two years full-time related industry work experience required
  • Valid First Aid certificate (with Bloodborne Pathogens and CPR) required
  • Knowledge and experience in current motorcycle/marine/power equipment technology
  • Harley Davidson, Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki or brand certifications preferred
  • Driver's license with motorcycle endorsement preferred
  • Adult instruction experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be committed to customer service
  • Must be able to use computing resources for communication, grading, resource retrieval, and teaching/preparing of educational components
  • Must demonstrate computer competency and be committed to customer service
  • Bachelor's degree or higher academic preparation preferred
  • Willingness to participate on college, division, or department committees
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully with students, staff and community from diverse backgrounds, including those whose native language is not English, and a commitment to a culturally diverse work environment
