Director of International Recruitment
RESPONSIBILITIES: As the leader of the international recruitment team, the successful applicant will be responsible for the enrollment of a globally diverse population; help coordinate recruitment activities to identify and contact prospective international students and their families; establish relationships with a network of school counselors and other educational advisors; and develop a vision of international recruitment for Concordia College. ADDITIONAL DUTIES: •Coordination of all communication to prospective students (phone, email, virtual college fairs, social media). •Review international applications, evaluate credentials, and recommend admission decisions. •Supervision of the International Student Recruiting Assistant and international student ambassadors. •Work closely with the College’s student support network to ensure each student’s successful transition into the institution. •Coordinate special events to enhance Concordia’s international presence. •Plan, execute and evaluate international recruitment travel. Minimum Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s Degree 2. 3 to 5 years of experience in recruiting, admissions, international relations or a student services related field. 3. Excellent oral and written communication skills; persuasive presentation experience and ability to work with a variety of audiences including prospective students, parents and alumni 4. Willingness to travel, some evening and weekend work 5. Knowledge of and appreciation for the liberal arts experience 6. Exceptional listener and communicator 7. Ability to oversee and assess multiple aspects of a program, and implement changes and improvements where needed 8. Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite programs, as well as willingness and ability to learn additional computer software programs Preferred Qualifications: 1. Experience travelling outside the US. 2. Familiarity with I-20, visas and other international identification processes. 3. Education or experience in public relations/marketing 4.
