Library Instruction and Research Coordinator Librarian
The Lewis University Library invites applications for a Library Instruction and Research Coordinator Librarian who will be responsible for improving library effectiveness and student learning. The Librarian will coordinate, enhance, advance, organize, and promote through outreach endeavors the library's three critical areas of support for student success; the Information Literacy program, Research Services, and Liaison Program. The successful candidate for this position will have the following qualifications: • Master's degree earned from an ALA-accredited Library/Information Science program • Four years minimum experience with information literacy instruction, research/reference services in an academic library setting with growing responsibility and supervisory duties. • Teaching experience at a higher education academic institution with a diverse student population and first year experience. • Experience with innovative online instructional tools and a passion for exploring emerging technologies such as LibGuides, course management systems (Blackboard preferred) and virtual research/reference tools to improve teaching and learning. • Familiarity with professional issues and current trends in information literacy and outcomes assessment in higher education.
