UCPath is the University of California's priority project to implement a single payroll, benefits, human resources and academic personnel solution for all UC employees. The Change, Communications and Training Manager will focus on the people side of change including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures. The primary focus will be creating and implementing change management plans that minimize employee resistance and maximize employee engagement. The incumbent will develop proactive, comprehensive change management plans, to include senior leadership alignment, key stakeholder and impact analysis, resistance identification and resolution, communications, employee and user training, and success metrics, tracking and reporting that deliver business objectives.
Salary: Range $80,855 - $172,700
Work Schedule: 8-5, M-F

Job Essential Function 1
Percent of Time: 100%
Develop a set of actionable and targeted change management plans including communication plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan and resistance management plan that will be applied at each stage of the project implementation
Assess change readiness, identify potential people-side risks, anticipated points of resistance and performance gaps and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns.
Create and manage measurement systems to track adoption, utilization and proficiency of individual changes.
Design, implement and manage employee feedback using appropriate tools and methodologies such as surveys and focus groups; create and enable change reinforcement mechanisms.
Develop an understanding of the current state organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilities.
Work with the UCI project team and UCI organizational staff to oversee the business process analysis and assist with creating future state plans as well as process maps for campus departments.
Work with project team and stakeholders to integrate and execute change management activities into the overall project plan.
Develop a relationship with UCOP and other campus/medical center change management teams.
Manage communication and training specialists in the formulation and execution of particular plans and activities to support project implementation.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Masters degree or equivalent experience in organizational development or related field.
Three to five years experience in organizational communication and change management with an understanding of operational and customer requirements within an academic institution or other environment of similar complexity.
Demonstrate an understanding of organization change models, and the ability to verbalize their use.
Experience leading change efforts in large-scale transformation projects that include complex organization, business process and supporting systems changes.
Experience integrating change management principles and concepts into effective methodologies
Experience evaluating issues and developing recommendations that support courses of action
Demonstrated project management skills
Team-building, interpersonal and conflict management skills to interact effectively with high-level executives, administrators, faculty, staff and members of the public from a wide range of functional areas, backgrounds and organizational levels.
Experience with business change projects that sit across technology and other areas of the business, and involved the adoption of associated business process changes that improved the overall efficiency of the organization.
Experience facilitating highly charged and emotional strategic discussions with members of cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
Experience and skills to make group presentations and motivate diverse audiences.
Mastery of communication vehicles and tools (internal and external, including multimedia and interactive/social media).
Strong writing and communication skills.
Strong understanding in the use of communications tools and methodologies to facilitate the change management activities in a large and complex organization.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with Prosci ADKAR Model is a plus.
Knowledge of PeopleSoft.
Experience providing training programs to organizations as part of change management activities.
