Responsibilities

Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia, in conjunction with the Arlington Community Foundation, is seeking applications from qualified candidates for the position of Director, the Non-Profit Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administrative and programmatic control of the Center and for growing and developing the Center.



Minimum Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree
•3 to 5 years of administrative experience in a nonprofit organization or program;
•5 or more years of experience working with management to develop, implement and achieve the plans, programs and objectives of the organization;
•Proven experience and success in raising funds from individuals, businesses, private Foundations and other potential contributors.



Preferred Qualifications

•Strong management and organizational skills;
•Ability to work effectively with non-profits;
•Self-disciplined, self-starting style, accustomed to working without supervision and capable of supervising and motivating others;
•Capacity to help determine community needs and to evaluate nonprofit needs;
•Effective oral and written communication skills;
•Knowledge of Arlington;
•Experience with community organizations.

Provide leadership for the Center in the formulation and successful implementation of the Center’s strategic plans
