Position Summary: Forestry Extension is seeking a Coordinator of the Master Woodland Manager Program and Women Owning Woodlands Network. This is a full time (1.0 FTE), 12-month, fixed term professional faculty position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Associate Dean of Outreach & Engagement.

The Coordinator of the Master Woodland Manager Program and Women Owning Woodlands Network is tasked with all day to day coordination of these externally funded outreach programs, including maintaining social media, web sites, participant databases, newsletter and other correspondence, annual reporting of activities and accomplishments, conducting new educational programs, and increasing the growth and complexity of the programs.

Position Duties: 60% - Coordinate Master Woodland Manager (MWM) Program and Women Owning Woodlands Network (WOWNet). Produce educational materials and coordinate courses with Extension Agents throughout the state. Coordinate one to three new MWM classes each year. Provide technical and educational resources and work with Extension Agents to keep the MWM core curriculum relevant to the needs of the participants and the different regions of the state. Conduct annual evaluations of program impact, prepare impact statements, and provide impact statements to participating agents. Involve program participants in charitable giving to provide resources for future programs. Guide WOWNet educational programs and provide assistance to the WOWNet membership. Maintain database and regular communications, including annual evaluations of activities and impacts. Incumbent will be required to drive throughout the state, transporting program participants.

30% - Program management support for MWM, WOWNet, and other Forestry & Natural Resources (FNR) projects and programs as assigned. Includes social media, web support, program evaluation and preparation of impact statements. Contribute fully as a member of the FNR Extension Team, including participation on group projects. Manage budgets for assigned programs, prepare progress and annual reports, and prepare project proposals.

10% - Service to the FNR Extension Program, College, University, and the profession. Attend FNR Program meetings and participate on committees, task forces, and the like. Maintain involvement with the academic Department, College of Forestry, and broader Extension Service and University. Maintain memberships in appropriate societies and associations such as the Society of American Foresters (SAF) and Association of Natural Resources Extension Professionals (ANREP).

Position Duties (continued):

Working Conditions/Work Schedule: In addition to office work, the incumbent will be required to conduct educational programs in the field, including walking over difficult terrain in the forest, sometimes in inclement weather.

Minimum/Required Qualifications: Bachelor and Masters degrees, with at least one degree in Forestry or closely related Natural Resources field.

At least one year of work experience related to natural resource management and/or education.

This position requires driving a University vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the University; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Motor Vehicle History Check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions (as per Voluntary and Compulsory Driver Standards OAR 125-155-0200) as per OAR 576-056-0000 et seq.

Preferred (Special) Qualifications: Experience in outreach or Extension educational program development and delivery.

Demonstrated strength in communications, especially writing for general audiences.

Ability to work in teams and with a variety of state and federal agency and non-governmental organization (NGO) partners.

A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
