Position Description

The Department of Political Science at the College of Charleston SC, invites applications for a full time, tenure track assistant professor position beginning fall 2015 in American politics with a specialization in political behavior. We are open to any emphasis within political behavior including campaigns and elections, political psychology, minority politics, voting behavior, and/or political participation. In addition, the position will offer opportunities to develop new courses in the field. PhD in hand by August 2015 is required. The normal teaching load is three courses per semester. The College of Charleston is a public, liberal arts and sciences institution with approximately 10,000 undergraduate students and 1,500 graduate students. The Political Science Department has 21 faculty, 325 undergraduate majors (, and supports Master of Public Administration ( and Master of Science in Environmental Studies ( programs. The College is located in a coastal metropolitan area of over 650,000.
