Associate Director of Financial Aid Operations, Financial Aid
This position provides leadership to the Financial Aid Department's management team to ensure institutional compliance with federal, state and institutional regulations and guidelines. Assists in the development, and oversight of policies and procedures related to the delivery of student financial aid. Supervises professional and support staff personnel. Works collaboratively with other offices to provide the best possible service to Rowan Students. This is a direct report to the Director of Financial Aid
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Working with the Associate Director of Financial Aid and Technical Support, assists in the analysis, oversight and implementation of technologies to improve the effectiveness and efficiencies to the department. Knowledge of Ellucian - Banner is preferred.
Supervises professional and support staff personnel within main campus FAO.
Provides over site to the coordination of all communication documents published by the Financial Aid Office. This includes but is not limited to the Financial Aid website and self-service portal, Handbooks, and brochures. Coordinates data provided within the branch campus websites to comply with the main campus site.
Supervises the document imaging system (OnBase) and the work flow processes used in the delivery of financial aid. Makes recommendations to improve work flows within department.
Coordinates all federal, state and institutional grants and scholarship programs from awarding through reconciliation.
Coordinates departmental outreach events throughout the year, developing programs and presentations for recruitment initiatives, information sessions and financial literacy.
Other duties as assigned to further the mission of excellence in the delivery of financial aid services to Rowan University students.
* A minimum of 10 years of financial aid experience in financial aid, administering federal state and institutional funds.
* Excellent communication skills, (written, oral and presentation, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Bi lingual (Spanish) speaking skills a plus
* Ability to interpret system data.
* Knowledge of Ellucian - Banner is preferred
