Information Technology Services is searching for a Web Developer (Professional Technologist 2) with strong customer technical support, content management, learning management, and web design/development experience. The primary responsibilities of this position include: providing faculty, staff and students with technical and instructional expertise in converting and managing educational materials online, instructing faculty and staff on how to use technology more effectively in the classroom and online, supporting and resolving complex user issues with Learning Management Systems, Content Management Systems, lecture recording technology and internally developed Web and Desktop Applications, and developing and maintaining public websites and creative marketing and interactive materials for the Health Sciences Center. Education/Experience requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, Marketing or related field or equivalent experience and 2-3 years of work related experience. Requirements: Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact at all organizational levels with faculty, staff, students, managers, peers, and end-users. Extensive knowledge and demonstrated ability in developing and managing web sites. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with HTML, CSS, web development tools, and content management systems, as well as browser technology and compatibility. Solid graphic design skills, including skill with Photoshop. Helpdesk or technical support. Good project and time management skills demonstrating the ability to function independently on one or more individual projects while collaborating on team projects; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize as needed. Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written, with an orientation toward customer service and education. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
