GENERAL DUTIES

Coordinates efforts of admissions and/or enrollment offices.  

- Coordinates workshops, intake screenings, interviews and orientations for new students

- Counsels prospective applicants on requirements and standards and provides general information on programs and services in person or by telephone, e-mail or letter; conducts follow up as needed

- Assists in conducting open house sessions and orientations, including group sessions and programs at high schools and in the community at large

- Assists with day-to-day administration and an admissions or enrollment office, including scheduling and preparing and distributing materials

- Represents the Admission Office to the college's internal and external communities as directed

- Maintains and updates program databases, lists and files to ensure completeness and accuracy 

- Performs related duties as assigned.

CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION

The Department of Recruitment and Outreach operation located in the Welcome Center at Hunter College is searching for two Pre-Admissions Coordinators/Recruiters to work in the recruitment of freshman and transfer applicants from specific territories of high schools. The Department of Recruitment and Outreach is responsible for the recruitment, outreach, and communication to all prospective students, applicants, and accepted students of Hunter College. Significant travel to high schools, colleges, and recruitment fairs both regional and in the New York City area is required. The Pre-Admissions Coordinator/Recruiter will analyze and maintain the prospective student data, and conduct prospect management and prospect follow up within assigned territories of schools. The Pre-Admissions Coordinator/Recruiter will retain knowledge of best industry practices in undergraduate recruitment as needed. This position will assist with the coordination and staffing of on-campus programs and online events for prospective students. In addition to recruitment duties, the Pre-Admissions Coordinator/Recruiter will generate admission and enrollment reporting and analysis for recruitment and other relevant enrollment data which will be used to develop recruitment strategy using software programs such as Hobsons CRM product.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree required.

COMPENSATION

$35,576 - $41,623; commensurate with experience
