Student Services Manager I - Assistant Director for Student Disability Services

Job Description The Assistant Director for Student Disability Services manages several programs and services under the supervision of the Director. Assists the director in coordinating accommodations for students, providing training for faculty and staff, managing the Blueprint and assessment process, and managing the budget. Maintains student records and provides reports on student retention and success each semester. Serves as lead coordinator of services for students with disabilities. Reads and evaluates documentation to determine appropriate accommodations, coordinates services with faculty and university staff. Manages staff assigned to program; ensuring a high level of professionalism, teamwork and focus on customer service. Reviews staff work and completes program staff evaluations. Assists in the professional development of staff. Serves on university committees as SDS representative. Maintains current knowledge of state and federal laws applying to persons with disabilities. Serves as liaison to outside agencies and organizations.

Minimum Qualifications Masters degree in Student Personnel Services or related field and 1 year related experience, or bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience. Must be willing to travel to system campuses within the state and be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications Previous college student advising, knowledge of the ADA, budget development and/or student development experience strongly preferred.
