Rowan University is a comprehensive state-designated research institution with approximately 14,000 students. Its main campus is located in Glassboro, N.J., 20-miles southeast of Philadelphia, and it has a branch campus and medical school in Camden and a second medical school in nearby Stratford. Rowan is only the second university in the country to offer M.D. and D.O. medical-degree granting programs. The School of Osteopathic Medicine has a faculty practice plan that serves approximately 200,000 patients throughout Southern New Jersey. The institution is also home to the South Jersey Technology Park, which fosters the translation of applied research into commercial products and processes. Its business incubator also supports that mission. The University boasts eight colleges--Rohrer College of Business and colleges of Communication and Creative Arts, Education, Engineering, Graduate and Continuing Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Performing Arts, and Science and Mathematics-and has been called upon by the state to create a College of Health Sciences. 

The Director of Assessment is responsible for collecting and researching data, performing analysis, providing recommendations and presenting results. The Director will work with faculty and administrators and provide specialized support that is necessary to carry out the university-wide assessment activities and will provide the university community decision-makers with valid, reliable, and timely data for making sound choices.
Essential Functions
* Monitors and evaluates assessment processes of all Rowan University programs and services (academic and administrative)
* Organizes project tasks, structures information collection activities, and sets time lines for completion of required tasks 
* Ensure compliance with assessment schedules, collects and review all annual assessment reports
* Drafts an annual Assessment Executive Summary that highlights the successes, challenges, and recommendations
* Develops presentations and communicates findings to the Rowan Community
* Develops new approaches for finding additional needed information
* Demonstrates initiative in identifying alternative solutions to challenges, communicates how outcomes may affect multiple areas of Rowan
* Develops and maintains a useful and engaging website for assessment
* Evaluates and implements assessment systems and improvements
* Works with the Office of the Provost, Faculty Center, and Executive Vice President to provide assessment support and training to the Rowan Community
* Develops mechanism to track best practices in assessment to ensure these are leveraged into future assessments
* Perform other related duties as may be assigned

* Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of higher education administration experience; Master's degree in relevant discipline (educational leadership, education administration, evaluation and assessment) and a minimum of three year's higher education administration experience preferred.
