Performs a variety of administrative duties for the Office of the Provost to facilitate coverage of key functions. Provides general office support to include coverage of the reception desk, interaction with University personnel and external contacts, and preparation of general correspondence and data summaries. Conducts internet research for data collection and travel options and works with various university resources to ensure technical support for office equipment. Assists with staffing the Provost and Vice Provost’s meetings at various campus locations to ensure proper setup and meeting arrangements.
Bachelor’s degree preferred plus two to three years of administrative experience. Excellent computer skills coupled with the ability to conduct internet research on a variety of topics and effectively utilize Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Access. Must demonstrate maturity, diplomacy, common sense, close attention to detail, professionalism and a team-oriented approach and be able to handle sensitive and confidential information. Can effectively troubleshoot and resolve office technology issues. Excellent writing and analytical skills as well as strong interpersonal and communications skills
