Monitors, maintains, tunes, designs, and documents the College’s local (LAN) and wide area (WAN) network infrastructures. Works closely with other members of the Information Technology Services (ITS) team and members of College to ensure voice, video and data network technology devices are functional and properly maintained. Supervises, provides on-the-job training and coordinates staff job assignments as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Network Technology or in a related discipline plus three years full-time relevant work experience required. Certified training with routers, switches, protocol analyzers, or network management systems or has certification within 6 months of hire required. Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience including part time considered. A valid driver’s license & insurability to operate College vehicles is required. Position is contingent upon MCC Board of Governors approval. Hiring process includes a background check. NOTE: College degrees obtained outside the U.S. accepted only when interpreted by transcript service members of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.
