Position Summary: The Senior Executive Director of Development and Communication has primary responsibility for all fundraising for UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and the NC Cancer Hospital. The Senior Executive Director of Development and Communication is also responsible for the Center's communication and marketing efforts to key internal and external stakeholders including the NC Legislature. To this end, the Senior Executive Director is responsible for developing and managing the programs and personnel of the offices of development and communications and for integrating these efforts with those of the University, UNC School of Medicine, UNC Health Care and The Medical Foundation of NC, Inc. This position reports to the Director of the Cancer Center and the President of The Medical Foundation of N.C.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred

Qualification and Experience: Management, budget experience and at least ten years' experience in direct fundraising required. Experience at an academic medical center preferred. Government relations experience highly desirable
